Teams is a communication and collaboration tool offered by Microsoft. You can communicate via group meetings with video / audio, share screen, collaborate on a whiteboard, participate in discussions, and share files. It also supports the integration of a wide range of external web apps and tools. Within the application you automatically become member of a team, which is a self-contained site, for each subject that you are enrolled in. Each team can have one or more channels, which are like chat groups, with each channel having the same basic functionality as the next. Channels exist independently of each other, meaning that activity in one channel can’t be seen from another. In each channel, there is a discussion board / chat tool and a files area on tabs at the top, with the option to add additional tools of your choosing. |
