8 Fairy Tales and Fables
Fables and Fairy Tales
Students will read a number of texts from the fairy tale and fable genres and use their knowledge of narrative conventions to deconstruct and analyse the stories. Students will be required to demonstrate their knowledge of both the genre and writing techniques to complete a creative writing task.
Fairy Tale
A fanciful tale of legendary deeds and creatures, usually intended for children.
A fictitious, highly fanciful story or explanation.
