8 Student

Overview

Throughout Year 8 our students will:

Learn about the four harmonies and ways to foster harmony in our world.

  • Seek new ways to be in harmony with creation, through sustainable practices and the pursuit of a ‘common home’
  • Seek ways of creating harmony with others through exploration of local justice issues including homelessness in our local community
  • Seek ways of creating harmony with ourselves and others by exploring the social justice issue of Reconciliation in Australia

Explore ways to be an advocate for the pursuit of harmony in the world. Students will work through their Religious Education classes on projects to advocate for harmony in our world to Year 5 and 6 students.

Reflect on the way they are creating harmony in the world through their everyday practices and how they can be advocates for change into the future.

Process

All students in Year 8 will develop a project in their Religious Education class and are required to participate in the development, running and reflection of the project
