Kindness

A Captain was hurrying to a party with his friends. On the way he saw a cyclist push the cycle with great effort. It had a heavy load. He slipped and fell!! The captain ran to help and lifted the man and the load. Unfortunately his clothes got soiled. When he reached his friends they all stared at him! They did not know what to say! “Well!” he said, “Kindness has sprinkled me with some blessings of dirt, but they will blossom in the dust”. He went back to change.

When you try to be kind, it costs you, your time and energy! It also inconveniences you and robs you of your precious moments! You may even have to dirty your hands! The sacrifices you make it helping another person will enrich you with a noble mind and generous heart – this comes only from doing kind acts – and the Lord will reward you.

Prayer

Lord, help me to experience the joy of being kind today especially when this kindness brings joy to the ones that I grant it. Grant me your grace so that I may generously help others who are in need. Amen.
