Screenshot

A helpful tool that Apple has incorporated in their iPhones and iPads is the ability to screenshot. A screenshot is a screen capture that gets saved into your photo gallery. In order to screenshot you need to hold the power button and the home button at the same time for one second.

A screenshot stores the image snippet to your photo gallery. If done correctly your screen will have a box of the screenshot appear in the the bottom left corner of your screen for a couple of seconds.

Split Screen

Another useful tool that Apple has incorporated in their iPads is the ability to split screens. Split screen gives users the ability to separate their screen in a 50:50 ratio or a 75:25 ratio.

In order to do this you should look at the following:

1. Pull the tool bar up onto your screen (by sliding your finger from the bottom of the screen upwards)

2. Pick the application you would like to add to your screen. Hold it down and drag it towards the side you would like it to sit.

If the app you want isn't in your task bar then add it so you can use it to split screen.

NOTE: not all apps are able to use the split screen feature.

3. Let go of the app on the side you would like it to sit.

You can adjust the ratio by moving the grey button in between the two screens.
