Grant Details

The College was fortunate to be a recipient of a State Government Local Projects Initiative Grant through the Education Department. Member for Balcatta, Mr David Michael MLA, was kind enough to bring this program to our attention and our subsequent application was approved.

The $40,000 Grant was for the supply of outdoor multi-purpose furniture and outdoor table tennis tables. Initially the furniture was allocated to be outside the CAFÉ, however with great initiative our students relocated the furniture across the campus to better suit the student needs during break-times. Our Campus Director Mr John Power believes the students have appreciated the ability for the furniture to be mobile and staff and students have also made use of the outdoor furniture during class time.

The new table tennis tables have enabled staff member, Mr Lee Zeakis to expand his table tennis tournaments, previously held in the gym, to move outside and attract some very lively audiences. The tables are very much appreciated by the students and their robust design have enabled great use and a seemingly endless list of players. Our Vice Principal Mrs Franca Coutts believes these tables help tremendously with the health and wellness of our students, offering an alternative, energetic and social activity to the campus.

The College again wishes to thank Mr David Michael MLA and the State government for the Grant that has improved our campus grounds and helped our students enjoy the break times.
